Moss House

2023

Georgetown, Maine

Moss House is more than a cabin, it’s the model that Staddle Home Co. is built on.

Designed as both a personal retreat and a proof of concept, Moss House is a small, sustainable home set in the woods of Georgetown, Maine. Built with carbon-sequestering panels and elevated lightly on the land, it reflects everything I value in a build: efficiency, beauty, restraint, and purpose.

I managed the entire process myself, from site planning and design coordination to finishes, furnishings, and short-term rental setup. Every decision was deliberate. Every detail mattered.

Today, Moss House is a thriving short-term rental, featured in multiple publications including VOGUE, Down East, and Maine Home + Design. It’s just under 900 square feet, but lives large: intentional, quiet, and full of character.

This is the approach I now offer to others, helping clients create homes that are well-built, environmentally conscious, and ready to serve both life and livelihood.
